We’re BACK to signings and what better way to bring it back with two of our best friends in the world of comics!

Remember Matt Miner? He wrote some bangers like Toe Tag Riot, Gwar Orgasmageddon, Critical Hit and Lab Raider. Matt’s love of comics, animals and music are consistently fused together in his writing and his catalogue proves it. He also runs a shelter for pit bulls and is one of the nicest people we have ever gotten to work with since opening the shop. It’s only fitting that he is one of our first creators back in our new space for our first signing of 2022. Now his newest hit - POSER - is collected in trade paperback and we’ve got copies!

We also have local legend, Montclair-resident and all around fun guy Rich Douek! Rich has been a fan of ours since we opened in 2014 which is great cuz we’re a SUPER HUGE fan of his too! Rich has more than a few awesome series under his belt including Sea of Sorrows, Road of Bones, Happy Hill and even did some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stories and a Superman story in the recent Superman Red & Blue anthology series. Now Rich’s newest creation - THE OCEAN WILL TAKE US - is here with issue #1 and we’ve got plenty of copies for him to vandalize with his signature!

The signing will be from 1pm-5pm and we’ll have copies of both books as well as various other titles available for each creator to sign for customers.

It’s a sidewalk fallout!

What’s that mean? It means we wanna be outside while the weather is nice since retail typically means a lot of time inside!

Plus - we’ve got a ton of stock after the shut down and we’re happy to roll it out onto the sidewalk for a ONE DAY EXPERIENCE!

Some of the sales to look forward to:

• $5 fill-a-bag: For $5 we’ll give you a plastic bag that you can fill with comics (recent and vintage comics) from our special fill-a-bag boxes! Take 2 or 20 or more! As long as they fit in the bag, you’re good to go for ONLY $5!!!

• We’ll have a special selection of trade paperback graphic novels for $5 each and hardcovers for $10 each!

• We have a MASSIVE stack of promo posters that we’re practically giving away at $2 each!

• We’ve got our custom ESM Mystery Boxes available for $30 and include (1) Marvel Comics trade paperback, (1) ESM t-shirt, (1) Funko POP Vinyl figure and (3) buttons!!!

• More surprises will be announced as we get closer to the event!

We will also roll out our GIANT Community Project that we’ve been working on this summer in support of Allwood Play & Learn in Clifton, NJ! You’ll be able to see it in person and buy raffle tickets ($5 each) or you can outright buy one of the pieces if you don’t feel like taking your chances! The raffle will run through the last weekend in September with winners announced before the month’s end!

So come hang out, grab a bag-load of comics or some cheap graphic novels or some cool posters to hang in our room, basement, living room, garage or what-have-you and let’s have some fun!
