Hometown hero Rich Douek is having one hell of a year! He’s a Montclair-based writer with not one but TWO new comics coming out in the span of a month!
First up, we have Wailing Blade #1 from Comixtribe! With art by Queens-based Joe Mulvey, this book is sure to hit your sci-fi / fantasy spot! About Wailing Blade #1: The Headtaker, feared executioner and wielder of the legendary Wailing Blade, kills every man who meets his gaze. And, right now, he's looking at Tychon, an upstart bandit prince fighting to save his father from the chopping block. Next up, we have Road of Bones #1 from IDW! Mixing horror, history and Russian folklore, this comic is a new story that is sure to appeal to a wide audience! But even if they make it out, Roman and his fellow escapees still have hundreds of miles of frozen tundra between them and freedom.
