ESM Sidewalk Fallout

It’s a sidewalk fallout!

What’s that mean? It means we wanna be outside while the weather is nice since retail typically means a lot of time inside!

Plus - we’ve got a ton of stock after the shut down and we’re happy to roll it out onto the sidewalk for a ONE DAY EXPERIENCE!

Some of the sales to look forward to:

  • $5 fill-a-bag: For $5 we’ll give you a plastic bag that you can fill with comics (recent and vintage comics) from our special fill-a-bag boxes! Take 2 or 20 or more! As long as they fit in the bag, you’re good to go for ONLY $5!!!

  • We’ll have a special selection of trade paperback graphic novels for $5 each and hardcovers for $10 each!

  • We have a MASSIVE stack of promo posters that we’re practically giving away at $2 each!

  • We’ve got our custom ESM Mystery Boxes available for $30 and include (1) Marvel Comics trade paperback, (1) ESM t-shirt, (1) Funko POP Vinyl figure and (3) buttons!!!

  • More surprises will be announced as we get closer to the event!

We will also roll out our GIANT Community Project that we’ve been working on this summer in support of Allwood Play & Learn in Clifton, NJ! You’ll be able to see it in person and buy raffle tickets ($5 each) or you can outright buy one of the pieces if you don’t feel like taking your chances! The raffle will run through the last weekend in September with winners announced before the month’s end!

So come hang out, grab a bag-load of comics or some cheap graphic novels or some cool posters to hang in our room, basement, living room, garage or what-have-you and let’s have some fun!

Community Art Project

East Side Mags is bringing back the COMMUNITY ART PROJECT and our FIRST MAJOR EVENT for 2020!

It’s been a rough year for all of us and we want to bring the community something that will make all of our weekends a little brighter!

We’re bringing back the community art project like we did for Free Comic Book Day in 2017 but with a NEW TWIST!

We’ll be building a GIANT 6’ x 8’ canvas out of smaller canvases and we cordially invite the community to come out (masks required) and paint on it. Paint whatever you want - your favorite food, your favorite superhero, what you did during quarantine, what you’re looking forward to later this year or in 2021, your favorite band - you get it!

Once the canvas is complete, we’ll break it apart and raffle off the pieces with 100% of the proceeds going to support ALLWOOD PLAY & LEARN in Clifton, NJ - a little Pre-K school with a BIG heart!

There is NO ENTRY FEE. Just come by and paint.

We will be wearing masks (required) and practicing social distancing. We’ll have all the supplies needed - all we need is you.

NOTE: If you would like to schedule a time to come by and paint, please feel free to call us at 862-333-4961 or reach out through our contact page. We’ll block a spot for you if you want. However, reservations are NOT required.

We’ll be outside the shop every Saturday from July 18th through September 12th (if the canvas lasts that long) from 12pm-5pm.

So come by. Get those creative juices flowing! And let’s create something AMAZING that we’ll all be able to remember for years to come!
