It's the Standard Showdown! What's is Standard Showdown?
We'll be playing Standard Format which means that all cards that come from sets legal in Standard format can be used. Legal Standard format cards include cards from Battle of Zendikar up through Kaladesh.
As prize support, we'll have a limited number of Standard Showdown Booster Packs to give out! These booster packs will include 1 premium card from a currently legal Standard set, including Kaladesh Inventions or Zendikar Expeditions, not including double-faced cards and 2 non-premium cards that are either a rare or a mythic rare from a set currently legal in Standard* (Battle for Zendikar up through Kaladesh).
Prizes will be given out based to undefeated players, frequently returning players from previous weeks, new players and/or players who brought a friend. East Side Mags will determine prize winners accordingly and hand out prizes to those who are still here once the tournament is over. *Please note - any players that leave the tournament early will not be eligible for prizes.
Entry fee is $5. The tournament will start at 11am and go until about 2pm. To sign up in advance, please see the Contact Us page or call us to reserve a space. We have limited space available and spots can be reserved on a first come, first served basis.
